Life in a Detroit suburb is closing in on Zoe and her two friends, Sarah and Ally. They decide to skip class, skip town, hijack a car and head west following Zoe's desire to find meaning in her Native American heritage. The girls cross paths with Cecilia, an Englishwoman totally out of place in the West. She is on a mission of her own: to fulfil her mother's last request: and scatter he ashes in a mysterious in New Mexico.
