Long ago, Malanshan became a joyful home for humans, animals, and plants under the protection of the magical Malan Flower. At the foot of Malanshan lived two twin sisters: the elder, Dalan, was lazy, while the younger, Xiaolan, was diligent. The guardian spirit of the Malan Flower, Malang, accidentally rescued Wang Lao, who had fallen off a cliff while collecting herbs on the mountain. The Vine Monster, who had long coveted the Malan Flower, exploited Dalan's vanity, stole the flower, and intended to dominate Malanshan. However, the Malan Flower would always only bloom for diligent and kind-hearted people. With the concerted efforts of everyone, Malang and Xiaolan finally defeated the Vine Monster. Dalan and the old cat also repented of their wrongdoings, and Malanshan restored harmony and joy.
