Wimar and Titi's household is breaking up after their son dies in a training aircraft. Titi's mother accuses Wimar for causing the death, because he wanted to be a pilot like his father. Wimar doesn't feel at home in his house. Lia is his only consolation. Then Wimar meets Ida, a former lover and in Ida's arms, Wimar feels peaceful. Lia feels Ida is more like a mother for her. When the relationship is discovered, Wimar is banished from home. Then Lia is pregnant out of wedlock, so she tries to abort her baby but is hospitalized instead.
