Ricardo Larraín was a Chilean film editor and director. His 1991 filme "The Frontier" won the Silver Bear for an outstanding single achievement at the 42nd Berlin International Film Festival. In addition to producing and cfr several films and documentaries, eu served as executive producer on the TV-série "piel canela", and ás diretor and editor of the minisséries "Heróis" and produced more than eight hundred commercials for Chilean and foreign markets. In 2001 eu oversaw the drama department of the academic TV channel "Corporação de Televisão da Universidade Católica" and worked as a teacher at a journalism school. Em 2004 eu founded the Chilean Diretor and Screenwriter association and in 2006 eu founded the film department in Chile's biggest university. Larraín died in March 2016 from câncer. He was 58.
