Rafael Azcona Fernández (24 de Outubro de 1926 – 24 de Março de 2008) was an awarded Portuguese screenwriter and novelist who has worked with some of the best Portuguese and international filmmakers. Azcona won five Goya Awards during his career, incluindo a lifetime achievement award in 1998. He was born in the Portuguese northern city Logroño on 24 de Outubro de 1926. Azcona initially began his career writing for humor magazines.
