The time in which Victor lived and worked was not easy: perestroika with its illusions and disappointments. One of the foundations of the film is Vitya's latest work, the cartoon "Sirin", which became his kind of message, a story about his time. The film also features numerous chronicle materials and interviews with famous St. Petersburg cinematographers.
