Three kilos of marijuana. The fact that drug smuggler Eda got away with a suspended sentence is due to her seven-year-old son Robert. Probation officer Klara Sonntag, who knows a home childhood as a convict daughter from her own experience, worries about him at least as much as she does about his tough-looking mother. When it comes to herself, the social worker throws her principle overboard that everyone deserves a second chance. When her terminally ill father Rudi is about to be released from prison, she wants to avoid meeting them.
