Wu wins the Regional Karaoke Championship in Hong Kong at the cost of his Taiwanese friend Gao's loss. When Gao's love interest Ah Hu accepts Wu's marriage proposal, the rivalry between these two Karaoke champions turns into a lifelong competition.
