Hommage is a strange dreamy, associative tour of a creator's mind. A documentary, a tribute to Lefteris Voyatzis and his theatrical world. At Hommage, images, documents, sounds, rare archival material from the Theatre of Odou Kykladon, excerpts from his performances, memories and interviews with his collaborators, are weaved in one composition. The theatrical space becomes a living map of memories, imagination and interpretation. It includes some experiential elements, but it is more of a personal glimpse of Spiros Alidakis in the particular area with which he has been associated professionally, artistically and emotionally in recent years. Lefteris Voyatzis is an indisputable milestone in the history of Greek theater that defined people, projects, our theatrical perception, the flow of theatrical happenings. He defined and was defined by the Theater of Odou Kykladon area and the theater space in general. He left work, memories, senses that still exist and relate and touch those who knew him before and those who get to know him now. The documentary features many of his collaborators sharing stories, experiences and memories, giving us a more complete picture of Lefteris. The aim of the film, above all, is to bring as many as possible and, especially the younger generations, into contact with the work of a personality, who, though one might say, was restricted for the most of his theatrical career to a single space and place, managed to raise issues about art and humanity in such a universal way.
