Written and directed by Iván Uriel Atanacio Medellín, narrated by Marcelina Bautista Bautista and produced by Perla Atanacio and Andrés Palma Buratta, "DAY OFF" is an emotional activist journey that accompanies the social struggle of domestic workers in Mexico, Latin America and worldwide. The film share the works of women domestic workers since process of reflection, activist proposals and citizen participation that make CACEH's work possible (Support and Training Center for Household Employees). The documentary addresses the social mobilization that domestic workers have undertaken from Mexico, in favor of the procurement, exercise and defense of their human and legal rights. Through a look towards the interiority of their testimonies and showing the civil actions they convene, "Day OFF" describes the activities that for more than 15 years, have turned the rest days into days that demand equity, social security and decent conditions Working through training, human development and the empowerment of women, have transformed the work environment and the culture that governs it internationally.
