Ramón Luis Ayala Rodriguez, known by his stage name Daddy Yankee, is a Puerto Rican singer songwriter, rapper, ator, and record producer. Ayala was born in Rio Piedras, Porto Rico, and was raised in the neighborhood of Vila Kennedy Housing Projects. Daddy Yankee is the artist who coined the word Reggaeton in 1994 to describe the new music gênero that was emerging from Porto Rico. According to the New York Times, he is known as the King of Reggaeton" by music critics and fãs alike.
