The youngest daughter in the house of a wealthy man is now only called "Cinderella" because since her father has been away, her mother has left her to do all the dirty work. Her two older daughters, on the other hand, are supposed to look after themselves and enjoy life. When their neighbor Kasperl finds out about this, he decides to help the poor girl. With all sorts of mischief, he ensures that the two older sisters stink to high heaven when they are invited to a ball at the prince's.
