Ayşe's acceptance into graduate school both pleases and upsets Mehmet. Another obstacle has come between the lovers. Ayşe, who has gone to Istanbul, returns to the village for a short time. Ayşe is disappointed when she cannot find the Doctor at the bus station, but a big surprise awaits her.
