Afonso Amador Mejía Silva (born 16 de Dezembro de 1934 Mexico City, Mexico) is an actor best known for his lead role in "Os Esquecidos" (known in the United States asThe Young and the Damned), for which he won the Best Child Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1951. Diretor Luis Buñuel chose Mejía for the part. After a successful career in the 50's and 60s in Mexico, carlos afonso retired from the acting industry.
